CONCRETE IMAGE
Decorative Concrete Staining and Engraving Service

Northwestern Wisconsin's Concrete Engraving and Staining Specialist

Do I have to remove my old concrete and pour new?    No, we take your existing concrete and through engraving and staining we transform it into a surface you can be proud of.

If I need to pour new concrete, what do I need to know?  Please know that your concrete surface needs a minimum of 30 days to cure before we can apply our products.  If you already know what design you want, please advise us before the pour so that we can recommend the best finish before your concrete sets (brushed, smooth, etc.)

Can you fix cracks in our concrete?  We are happy to take a look at your concrete surface and provide our recommendations.  Most often, we try to help you come up with a design that will work with the cracks so that they are either camouflaged or become a part of the beauty in your design.

Can I put my own art work or logo in the concrete?  Yes,  in fact, check out the Walleye in Gallery 1 with Laine and in Gallery 2.  The Walleye image was actually a request from a friend's son.  His father had caught this walleye many years ago and had it mounted.  His father had recently passed away.  We were given photos of the fish and from that we were able to make a template and design this memorial for him.  The photo is of the sample, but the image will be engraved into the family's patio.  We can make templates of almost anything.

Are you pouring a layer on top of our concrete that you decorate?  No, this is not an overlay.  We feel that our process is superior to overlays in that it will never delaminate due to Northern Wisconsin's freeze/thaw cycles.  We start with your existing concrete and transform it through engraving and staining.

Will the engraving harm my concrete surface?  No,  we are only engraving 1/16" to 1/4" into your concrete surface.  Through our staining techniques, you can even color the "grout" lines which will never need to be repaired or replaced.  We finish each project by sealing the concrete which will protect your design and increase the life of your concrete.

Is the finished product slippery to walk on?  We do not change the surface texture, however we can add granuals between the sealer coats to prevent slipping.

How long does it take for you to complete a project?  The time of each projects varies due to the size of the project, the complexity of the design, and the amount of surface cleaning and preparing that your concrete requires to get it ready for our products and engraving.  Most projects take as little as a few days to a week.

Does this process produce a lot of dust?  Our engraving tools have dust collecting systems attached.  The dust is removed as the cuts are being made.  Our process is clean and leaves surroundings undisturbed.

Why would you recommend this for interior application?  Interior concrete floors can provide luxurious beauty to any home interior.  They are easy to clean, but should be waxed every month or two depending on traffic.  Wax is easily applied with a mop.  Unlike carpet, it will not collect allergens and will never need to be replaced.  You will  never need to fuss over these grout lines as they will not crack and crumble or discolor.

How long will the design last?  The design will last as long as your concrete lasts provided that you have your concrete re-sealed every two or three years.
